Made up of Ellie and Mira, Isla Den have built a steady reputation within the underground electronic scene. Their music pulls from rave culture as much as it does from pop structure, and that blend has become their signature. Their latest release, “Until The Sun Dies, All My Love,” brings two singles together under one project and feels like a clear snapshot of everything they’ve been refining.
Ellie describes it as music about love that burns brightest at the edge of darkness. That contrast runs through the entire project. It’s the kind of track that feels designed for a packed dancefloor, lights bouncing off moving bodies while the bass carries everything forward. The tempo locks you in, but there’s an emotional weight underneath the pulse.
The vocals lean into that tension. There’s a trace of sadness in the delivery, even when the instrumental is pushing upward. That mix of feeling and movement gives the songs more depth than a straightforward club cut. You can dance to it, but you can also get lost in it. That balance between shadow and light feels intentional.
Sonically, there’s a nod to early 2000s club music, but it never sounds stuck in the past. The production feels forward-thinking while still tapping into nostalgia. It’s familiar without being derivative.
Since forming in 2018, Isla Den have steadily released EPs while shaping a world around themes like digital culture and longing for something just out of reach. With their debut album “Air Melodies – Second Wind” on the horizon, “Until The Sun Dies, All My Love” feels like a confident step deeper into that space. It’s emotional, immersive, and unmistakably theirs.
